The Adventures of Edith & Myrtle....

Live from a 1971 classic Cheltenham caravan called Edith..........the adventure begins.

Edith will provide a suitable HQ for the coming months in which to plot and plan our new adventure. And what is the aim? we will be appearing at the Goodwood Revival show in the UK in September. But who are we?

More on that later........................

But first, even though Edith is in lovely original condition she could look better. She is safely ensconced in her barn in France ready for her renovation to start in a month or so.

The nasty pink patterned upholstery is temporarily covered with some vintage blankets and granny chic cushions. I cannot wait to get rid of the carpet as well.

A good day's painting and the walls and cupboards are undercoated.

Those cupboards are just crying out for a lick of paint and green velvet curtains just are not me!

Phew, such a relief to get rid of the yellowy wood.

I have also removed the nasty 70's light and found a lovely old French light to go on this wall.

I also found a lovely old French mirror to replace the one on the wardrobe door. I might replace the plastic light switch cover with this French porcelain one and may use the wallpaper to line the back of the china cupboard.

It works well with my yellow cups!

Edith & Myrtle Vintage Boutique

Our vintage boutique at Goodwood will be a mixture of my retro style handbags combined with the wonderful vintage style hats that my good friend Wendy creates.

Together with our hats and bags, the stand will feature a whole range of French vintage items including furniture, haberdashery, magazines and other treasures.

One of our retro styled handbags together with our framed vintage French button cards.
